Synopsis

Four super turtles and a rat ninja master were in contact with an ooze substance that turns them into humanoid mutants that crave pizza and fun.  Because the outside world wouldn't understand their presence, Splinter trains the turtles in the art of ninjitsu so they can defend the city from crime while hiding in the shadows.  One night, April, who is a TV news reporter for Channel 3 Eyewitness News gets mugged by a few thugs, the turtles make their first battle while in the shadows.  Later on after an attempt on her life from a group of criminal ninja warriors in the New York subway, Raphael brings April back to the lair, where she freaks out upon waking up.  Splinter calms her down by explaining the origins of their existence.  April is convinced that the Turtles are to be trusted and becomes a close friend.  One night, April invites the turtles into her antique shop with her apartment above it for some pizza.  Little did they know that while they were away, their sensei Splinter was kidnapped and the lair trashed by someone.  Now the Turtles, April, and a vigilante crime fighter in a hockey mask, Casey Jones, work together to try to locate Splinter and identify who's holding him prisoner.
