April is an ally and adoptive older sister of the Ninja Turtles.  Before she met them, she was a lab assistant to Baxter Stockman.  When testing out mouser robots, April began getting suspicious of Baxter and did some investigating and found out that he was going to use the mousers for evil intensions.  Baxter caught up to her and after a failed attempt on her life, April ran into the sewers with the mousers chasing her.  Luckily, the Turtles found them and destroyed the mousers and took a fainted April to their lair.  After waking up, April freaks out by the Turtles' and Splinter's existence, but Splinter calms her down by explaining the origins of him and his sons.
