Leonardo is the leader of the Ninja Turtles, named after the Renaissance painter Leonardo Di Vinci.  He was named leader due to his commanding leads and serious, mature personality.  He honors and values his family the most and looks out for them.  Among his brothers, he is the most ordered and disciplined, and also possesses a very strong bond with his father and mentor, Splinter.
